On November 7th, the race for the 46th President of the United States was declared to be won by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for president and vice president respectively. Both of them came forward on stage with their families and delivered their initial speech as president and vice president elect. Apart from the standard process of delivering their address, they had also brought their whole families on stage to observe the show of celebratory firecrackers. Biden with his long list of family members with grandsons and granddaughters. Kamala Harris with her Black and Indian family members. First impression one would get seeing them on stage was the resemblance to a Star Trek Movie Ensemble. For those who have not watched this famous movie series, the show is about a futuristic society where many planetary beings' humans and aliens come together as a team on a mission to explore ‘outer space’. One might find this as a strange analogy, but we believe that this is exactly what they want us to see. In our earlier article (September 2020 edition- irrelevance of the ballot) on the US elections, we had explained how shallow the electoral candidature has become. The candidates only stand for their color, race and sex rather than their agenda and promises they make to their electorate.
The ‘Hidden’ votes for Trump.
The polls and media got it wrong again for the second time consecutively. The blue wave (overwhelming win by the democratic party) they predicted never happened. Infact it had tried to manipulate the undecided vote in favor of the democratic party. Also due to the big tech and media narrative that ‘Trump is a racist, authoritarian, crackpot’, caused many to lie to the pollsters and then voted for trump in secret. For many Americans Trump stood for peace, an anti-immigrant (who people assume to steal their jobs), and economic welfare (job creation). This has shown something about what the ballot is all about. It’s a personal choice rather than something that could be advertised as the media does.
‘Padre’ Biden and Silicon Valley Rep Kamala.
The election was not about racism vs equality, nor was it about socialism (alias of authoritarianism and dictatorship for the American public) vs freedom. It was a competition between globalist business agenda vs American local Business agenda. The final result would not be bringing about any betterment to the American public. In fact, it was never present on the electoral ballot itself. Neither of the candidates spoke or promised about real issues such as extreme poverty, minimum wages, homelessness that is plaguing the nation.
During the acceptance speech, Biden spoke about cleansing the soul of the country and narrated the priest's hymn “And he will raise you up on eagle’s wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of his hand.” Joe Biden has put everything on god hands at the first instance of his presidency itself. Praying and hoping for things to get better rather than promising any action. Infact he is the candidate who did not make any promises and did not have any clear agenda but just going after Trump’s so called ‘incompetence’.
Facebook and Twitter company CEOs were subpoenaed in October to appear at a hearing with the Senate judiciary committee (which is dominated by republicans) in order to “review the companies’ handling of the 2020 election. These ‘Big tech’ companies are accused of having a bias towards the policies and propaganda of the republican party. During the hearings, one of the Republican senator J Hawley even equated them to the ‘Robber’ barons of the 19th century America who used unscrupulous methods to get rich, or expand their wealth. These tech companies rely on the inflow of cheap educated immigrants to fulfill its labor needs. They stood behind and funded Kamala Harris (who is a daughter of an Indian immigrant) and the Democratic party who is supporting inflow of cheap educated labor into the country.
This reminds us of civil war days where wealthy southerners were in need of Labor in the form of slaves for their agricultural production and the wealthy northerners who were owning industrialized production needed wage labor instead of slaves (which would not be cost efficient) and thus supported abolitionism of slavery.
Why the world needs another Trump Presidency
Trump during his final presidential debate spoke, ‘We (America) are energy independent for first time. We don’t need all of these countries that we had to fight war over because we needed their energy. We are energy independent !!’. These words have been indeed true. The last four years have been peaceful compared to the past list of presidents who we have been seen to directly or indirectly fund and support conflicts around the world. The First ‘Black’ president Barack Obama was so good on the eyes in 2008 that many believed that he will change the world forever. But he was the one who supported many conflicts in the Middle east and Africa against incumbent rulers and thereby aided the killing of many innocent people in the process. He was no different from his Republican predecessor George W Bush Jr. who initiated direct warfare on many countries on the precedent of eliminating terrorism.
But Trump’s presidency was a clear change in path. His presidency took up diplomacy as the only means of resolution. During the Obama rule, the primetime news used to be filled with war and bombings and about people displaced due to civil war. This is not the case right now. Trump seemed to have found a way out of the conflict driven economic growth that America normally follows. He was able to reduce the unemployment rate to 3.5 percent in 2019 before Covid struck.
The world is healing but It seems Biden and Kamala Harris have won the presidency. This has come as a shock for many countries. They are scrambling to get ready for something similar to that they saw during the Obama years. Israeli and Saudi Arabian leaders have met for the first time this week. This was to not give any opportunity for the upcoming presidency to exploit their differences and create unwanted conflicts.
America under Trump looked to be moving towards an economic growth and prosperity that existed prior to the world war. America was indeed great then, great in terms of its economic prosperity through actual trade not by the Keynesian artificial expenditure driven economic growth that has prevailed after the world war; A land of opportunity rather than a forced refuge for people under the effects of war.
The Republican Party has found a Godfather in Donald Trump. The party leadership took a right stance to move away from the war- mongering Oil Barons of the south. The people’s support for the party has grown multifold during his presidency and more Americans have voted for the republicans than any time before in their history (close to 73 million). This says a lot about what people want. They want peace and prosperity and not war and instability that they had to put up with for the past 20 years prior to Trump.
